Cryosurgery Treatment

removal of benign skin lesions

What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy or Cryosurgery is a highly effective and safe procedure that is used to freeze and destroy benign skin lesions. This advanced technique gently targets benign superficial skin imperfections—such as Warts, Seborrheic Keratoses, benign Moles, Sun spots, Pgmented spots, and cherry angiomas—with exceptional accuracy and minimal disruption to surrounding tissue.

Using medical-grade liquid nitrous oxide (N₂O) at –89°C, we delicately freeze and treat lesions up to 10mm in size. The method is elegantly controlled, low risk, and designed to deliver beautifully clear, smooth skin with minimal downtime.

How the Treatment Works

Cryotherapy harnesses the transformative power of extreme cold to selectively break down unwanted tissue. As the temperature rapidly drops, tiny ice crystals form within the fluid spaces around the cells, gently disrupting their structure. The treated cells naturally fade as the skin renews and restores itself.

The sensation is often likened to a brief, cold pressure against the skin. Mild sensitivity following treatment is normal and settles quickly as the area begins to heal.

Why Nitrous Oxide?

In modern aesthetic medicine, nitrous oxide is preferred over traditional liquid nitrogen. Its slightly warmer temperature allows for refined, controlled tissue removal with significantly reduced risk of scarring or excessive necrosis. The result is an elegant balance of efficacy and skin safety—ideal for cosmetic applications where precision and outcome are paramount.
